Some of the Cherry Blossoms bloomed early in February in Washington, DC. The peak Cherry Blossom blooms has been pushed back another week because of the snow and cold weather that we had.

It reminds me of my childhood. My grandparents lived in Falls Church, my grandfather being a big-wig in the Veterans Dept (Before it went to hell). I spent my summers visiting them and tootling around D.C. My grandmother was a well known artist, and when commissioned to paint one of the Memorials - her first question would be "And what season would you like that in? It's lovely with the Cherry Blossoms, but snow or Autumn leaves suit very well..."
